About UVM Shipping :

UVM as a Container agent is represented in most of the countries worldwide and can handle movements in and out of India to world wide destinations, but also from / to anywhere in the world. The company currently moves over 600 containers per month both as LCL and FCL from all its offices across India. UVM handles Break Bulk vessels as agents in ports of Kolkata and Haldia and also in all major ports of India through their counterparts. UVM is capable of giving excellent service in this field as it is capable of handling multifunctional activities related to the vessel operators / managers / charterers. UVM Shipping has a very good rapport with all statutory bodies of the port and customs.

The Company is headed by a Master Mariner and all other staff are very well experienced in the shipping clearing and forwarding field. The Senior staff have over 15 years of experience in the field of shipping. UVM Shipping also provides technical and management support in terms of vessel operation.

We have a storage Yard with facilities for repairs of Containers and Storage of cargo in a 15000sq feet covered shed and 35,000 square feet open area. These facilities are offered to shipper/consignees who need to stuff and de-stuff their export/import cargo. Empty containers are stored by many main lines and NVOCC operators. There are cranes and forklifts available round the clock and the plot is in the close vicinity of the Kolkata port.

Our offices are fully equipped with updated state of the art communication systems and LAN lines. We believe in keeping pace with the changing technology and thereby providing time and cost effective solutions to suit the requirements of the principals and clients. A separate customer service department keeps the client informed of the latest situation at all times. The key personnel of the company are easily accessible for any assistance to the principals and clients by ways of mobile phone any time and every time.

The Company is a pioneer in movement of goods to Bangladesh by Road and Sea and Barge.. The key personnel have complete knowledge of the route Bangladesh > India > Nepal.
